Arts and Trauma Healing course

October 13, 2018GEN Resource Coordinator

Arts and Trauma Healing course to be held at Dallas International University

Since trauma is fast becoming one of the most urgent human problems in the world, cross-cultural workers need to be able to respond in restorative ways to traumatized individuals and communities. In Dallas International University’s graduate-level course, Arts and Trauma Healing, students learn a holistic, interactive approach to engaging Scripture and relevant arts in the healing process for people who suffer from the mental, emotional, and spiritual effects of trauma. Through participatory engagement with basic mental health and expressive art therapy principles, students learn to address beliefs and emotions damaged by trauma in their own lives and in the lives of others.

Information concerning this course, including dates, locations, and registration information can be found at www.diu.edu/ath.

If you are interested in attending the course, please apply by November 2, 2018. For further details, contact Wendy Atkins, Arts and Trauma Healing Liaison for Dallas International University at Wendy_Atkins@diu.edu.
