Katie VanBuren and I just published Make Arts for a Better Life: A Guide for Working With Communities, Oxford UP, 2018. It's a derivative of William Carey Library's Creating Local Arts Together: A Manual to Help Communities Reach Their Kingdom goals, with 2 main differences. First, it doesn't make explicit reference to church or theological content - this makes it perfect for use in sensitive contexts, non-Christian educational institutions, etc. Second, we have added a number of new case studies, tools, discussions of more issues like ethics and tourism, and user guides, and updated and improved some content. There's a lot of excellent new material here.
